However, the process of actually producing the coating also takes time. Sometimes the lab is close enough to form a new coating in a matter of days. This usually comes with a hefty surcharge for a rush order. Normally it takes more than a week to get the veneer replacement.<\/p>\n If your specific case is before then, you’ll need to accept a temporary overlay, defeating the purpose of owning the veneer in the first place.<\/p>\n Replacing Porcelain Veneers with Fast CAD CAM System<\/strong><\/p>\n However, our CAD CAM (Computer aided design) system gives us another way to speed up changing overlays.<\/p>\n After making the necessary preparations in the patient’s mouth, the physician scans the mouth with a special comb. The size of the mouth is transferred to the computer system in 3D. Then the computer aided design phase begins.<\/p>\n After the design is done in the computer environment, a different machine comes into play. In other words, the computer aided the production part. Special porcelain blocks are placed inside the machine. It extracts three-dimensionally with its own milling cutters.
