With a little time and a little patience, you’ll find that you can start eating many of your favorite foods again as you get used to your new dentures.
You can take a look at our tips to help you eat comfortably with your prosthesis.
Be Slow and Steady
When it comes to mealtimes, you may want to pamper yourself with your new denture, but start with just small bites of soft food and avoid very hard foods.
Start with Soft Foods
Regularly add soft foods to your diet to help you get used to eating with your new dentures, for example;
.Egg
.Fish
.Coked vegetables
These foods don’t put much pressure on your mouth when chewing, which means your dentures will feel more comfortable once you start messing with some of your favorites.
Chew Evenly
Try not to bite using your front teeth, as this may dislocate your dentures. Chew both sides equally to help your gums get used to the gentle pressure.
As you become more confident about how to eat with your new teeth, you’ll be free to tackle foods like harder fruit and meat.
